Our Office Nurses are licensed practical nurses who assist the midwives in the office, draw blood, and do newborn screenings and testing as well as patient teaching and lactation support. These dedicated nurses may also be your Birth Assistants during your birth. They are the lifeblood of our practice and an integral part of your care team.
The Midwife Group and Birth Center has a team of knowledgeable professionals who you may likely encounter before your first appointment with the midwife. Patty Pierce, our Practice Manager, handles the overall management and operations of the practice and birth center. Panesia Kitchen, our Front Office Manager, is responsible for the operations in the front office and will be the person who will meet with you concerning financial matters, as well as anything related to our front office. Jehnifur Rogers and Angel Denardi are our Practice Representatives, handling the daily functions including routing all telephone calls, appointment requests, scheduling of classes, collection of payments and scheduling your follow up appointments as needed. You will get to know these two friendly, vivacious women very well! Nancy McNair (not shown) is our Administrative Assistant who works with us when we need her, helping with many facets of the administrative operations of the practice and front office. She can sometimes be found at the front desk as well, filling in for one of our Practice Representatives. All of our Administrative team is passionate about the Midwife Group’s mission and commitment to the families we serve….they know the unique care offered by the Birth Center and Midwifery model of care not available elsewhere. They are here to assist you in navigating a complex system of insurance plans and developing an individual payment plan, if necessary.
